A nose job is the conversational term used for a rhinoplasty procedure, also known as nose surgery. Those who wish to alter the original appearance of the nose or those affected by nose deformity are good Hawaii ethnic rhinoplasty candidates.
About Ethnic Rhinoplasty
When performed by a board certified plastic surgeon, an ethnic rhinoplasty can subtly but effectively improve the appearance of the nose. There are two categories of this procedure: Caucasian nose jobs and Asian nose jobs.
A Caucasian nose job can:
- Eliminate a bump on the bridge of the nose
- Improve tip definition of the nose
- Reduce or add to the overall size of the nose
- Change the angle between the nose and upper lip
An Asian nose job can:
- Create a bridge in the nose
- Add definition and projection to the tip
- Narrow excessively flared nostrils
- Correct some degrees of facial “flatness”
- Reverse a bi-maxillary retrusion (a “buck teeth” appearance)
Undergoing an Ethnic Rhinoplasty at our Honolulu Practice
A nose job begins by administering general anesthesia for patient comfort. If I am your Hawaii nose job surgeon, I will aim to reshape the nose in a way that is consistent with your anatomy, needs and expectations. After surgery, you will likely have a splint on your nose for 5 days. This is support system that the nose relies on during the healing phase. Once the splint is removed, you are free to enjoy your results. They will continue to improve in the weeks following your procedure.
Selecting a Hawaii Rhinoplasty Surgeon
A nose job may sound like a minor procedure, but in fact it is the hallmark of plastic surgery. Good plastic surgeons must be able to prove their aptitude for performing an outstanding nose job. I am often invited to speak on the Asian nose job, a procedure that is far more complex than Caucasian variety. Patients can rest assured that they are in good hands when undergoing a nose job at Oahu Plastic Surgery Center.
I knew from the moment I met Dr. Schlesinger my procedure process was going to be a life changing experience. Along with his staff they made the healing process as smooth as expected for the procedure I had done. The procedure I had done was a Rhinoplasty. I can’t express my gratitude to Dr. Schlesinger and his office staff enough. Along with myself, my husband, and my co-workers, we are so impressed with the results of my procedure. Thank you to Dr. Schlesinger and his staff for all your hard work and how you value your patients.
